A Night on the Red Carpet
Join us for a red carpet event on October 14th, 2024!
This much-anticipated event celebrates our local businesses, volunteers, and community members. Please join us as we recognize key contributions to business and our community during our annual award presentation and learn about what the Visitors Bureau has prepared for your business in 2025.
This event is "entertainment style" with heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and an awards program. An afterparty will take place following the program, to provide enhanced connection opportunities and continued celebrations.
The program will include highlights from 2024 and a look ahead at the upcoming year with the Visitors Bureau. Join us in celebrating incredible businesses, area nonprofits, and outstanding individuals in our community!

BRAVO TO BUSINESS AWARDS CEREMONY
The Bravo to Business Awards Ceremony recognizes outstanding area organizations for the significant role they play in driving the community's business and economic growth.
To be considered for one of these awards, the organization must be setting standards for excellence and innovation with their business practices and community involvement.
Award applicants will be voted on by the public. The winners will be announced at the Bravo to Business Awards Ceremony at the A Night on the Red Carpet Event on Monday, October 14th, 2024.
Nominations: Submissions for nominations are open and will close on September 20th, 2024 at 11:59pm. Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
Public Voting: Public voting will take place on September 21st - October 4th, 2024. Winners of each category will be announced at the A Night on the Red Carpet Event on Monday, October 14th, 2024.
AWARDS CATEGORIES
Emerging Business of the Year - Awarded to an area business that is a relatively new, “Up and Coming” business. The Emerging Business Award recognizes that starting a business requires a unique blend of vision, energy, perseverance and talent. It is given to businesses that have demonstrated a creative business approach, proven success and positive impact on the local community. Business must be in operation less than five (5) years but at least one (1) year.
Business of the Year - Awarded to an area business who has been in business over five (5) years, provides excellence in customer service, has experienced progressive sales/marketing growth, provides innovative products or services, community volunteerism , and/or demonstrates economic support of the Manitowish Waters area business community. Please list contributions, business growth, success story or something they’re most proud of on nomination form.
Lodging Property of the Year - Awarded to an area lodging business that has reimagined the lodging experience and/or consistently displayed excellent hospitality in innovative ways to meet changing consumer needs.
Experience Excellence Award - Awarded to an area business that has reimagined the customer experience and/or consistently displayed excellent customer service in innovative ways to meet changing consumer needs.
Community Outreach Award - Awarded to a for-profit business in recognition for their outstanding support of the community, and not-for-profit organizations, through volunteer hours, in-kind goods and services, philanthropic support and corporate policy that stipulates and encourages community involvement.
Customer Service Award - Awarded to an employee of a Manitowish Waters business that best demonstrates they have the customer at the heart of the business and deploys and manages their resources to most effectively to meet the needs of their customers. Every business wants loyal customers who write rave reviews and bring their friends – but this takes a huge amount of work, a quality product and a team who love the business as much as the owners do. Please include a testimonial from experience with the nominated employee.
Outstanding Citizen Award - The award for Outstanding Citizen honors an individual whose voluntary support of community-based and nonprofit organizations in the Manitowish Waters community not only allows these entities to better meet their mission, but also attract and retain other volunteers.
