MW Sno-Skeeters Snowmobile Club
Sno-Skeeters Snowmobile Club welcomes you to our trails. Manitowish Waters, located in the Lake Superior Snowbelt, is a true snowmobiler’s paradise. We have some of the most beautiful and well groomed trails in the Midwest.
Visitors and residents consider our location a great hub to access the trails of neighboring Presque Isle, Boulder Junction and Mercer. Whether you want a short 30-mile loop through Boulder Junction, a 100-mile ride through Northern Wisconsin or a 200+ mile ride through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Manitowish Waters is a great place to start or end your trip.
The network of snowmobile trails in the Northwoods totals more than 1,600 miles! The Sno-Skeeters provide the highest quality trail riding experience, promoting safety and trail enjoyment. Our club maintains and grooms over 25 miles of trails, with trails brushed and inspected on a regular basis. The club is funded by local fundraisers, contributions and funding from the AWSC.
MW Sno-Skeeters Trail Report
January 19, 2025
Skeeters trails were groomed early this morning with the exception of trail 2.
We were able to smooth them out a bit, but with the lack of snow they are not perfect.
Trails remain in "early season" conditions! Early season conditions mean this, trails can be icy, especially in the corners. Rocks may be showing in spots. Also some sticks. With lack of snow there is only so much we can do. I would rate trails currently at fair condition to some poor areas. Extreme cold through Tues. Ride safe in these conditions. I would suggest not riding by yourself! I spoke with several riders Saturday night that were extremely pleased with the Skeeters trail conditions! Think Snow, stay warm and ride safe!
