Located on the Manitowish Chain of 10 Lakes, you will be fishing in some of the finest lakes around. Filled with Walleye, Bass, Muskie, Northern, Crappie, and Pan fish, you can enjoy fishing right outside your back door. Enjoy exploring all the beauty and wonder that Vilas County has to offer! Whether by foot, bike, boat or car, you are sure to experience that “Northwoods” feeling!

Six Housekeeping Cottages to Choose from
Set in Manitowish Waters on the beautiful and legendary Manitowish Chain of 10 Lakes. All lakes are accessible using the free rowboat provided with your rental or you may want to bring your own larger boat for easier access to all the lakes on the Chain. The Chain offers many varieties of fish to choose from or you may want to explore small islands or play with your watercraft on the lakes.

Hillcrest Resort is on the Manitowish River between Rest Lake and Stone Lake with a beautiful view of the widening into Stone Lake. All the cottages are close to the water and there is enough dock space for the resort rowboats that are free with your rental as well as room for your big bass boat. Other features of the resort include:

Fish Cleaning House with running water, electricity, lights and a freezer with convenient bags of ice to purchase
Stone Fire Pit with log benches made by a local craftsman
Wooded forests and State Woods on 3 sides of the resort and Water on the 4th side
Playground within view of the fire pit with sandbox, slides, swings, table/chairs, and more
horseshoes (rake and horseshoes are kept in the Toy House
Toy House
Main Docks include electricity, sunny lounges and a table with umbrella and chairs for picnicing

2 swim areas – big kids & adults can jump off the main docks and a swim ladder will help you climb back up
A small cove is to the left of the main docks with water starting at about a foot for the smaller kiddos – supervision required

Snowmobile Trail – only a few hundred feet away from the resort cutting across Birch Hill Road – great for hiking and biking in the summertime
