Rock Lake and Fairyland Hikes

Join local naturalists and authors John Bates and Mary Burns for this wonderful hiking experience. Bayfield County has 28 designated state natural areas, and the Cable/Drummond area is particularly rich in remarkable sites. We will hike in the morning at Rock Lake SNA and in the afternoon at Fairyland SNA. These sites support some mature to old growth forest communities. Good hiking stamina is required. For this trip we will cover 5 miles.

Registered participants will be sent directions to the trailhead along with what to bring for the day. *Location is approximately 1.75 hours from the NLDC, just under 2 hours from Woodruff* Monday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
