Introduction to Eco-Printing on T-Shirts Workshop

The creators of Hazel Eyes Textiles will teach eco-printing, also called botanical printing, on cotton t-shirts. We will use the natural pigments in the leaves of local plants to dye and print our prepared shirts. This is a many-layered process and we will work step by step doing the setup, layout, and steaming of the t-shirts. We will also discuss materials, equipment, fabrics, plants and techniques. Each participant will create their own unique and beautiful shirt to take home. Let’s have some fun with plants!  If there is time while the t-shirts are steaming, we may take a walk to identify and discuss leaf collecting for the eco-printing process.  Please bring snacks, lunch and a beverage. Please dress for being outside and getting messy!

T-shirt included in program fee, please indicate shirt size when registering.  If you don’t see your size, please call us.  Registration required by 7/22.  Saturday, 9 AM – 3 PM.  $70/Non-Member and $60/Member.  Participants will meet in the Lodge at the Discovery Center.
