
Drummond Woods & Lake Owen Hardwoods Hikes

Join local naturalists and authors John Bates and Mary Burns for this wonderful hiking experience. Bayfield County has 28 designated state natural areas, and the Cable/Drummond area is particularly rich in remarkable sites. We will be hiking Drummond Woods SNA and Lake Owen Hardwoods SNA, both of which are on the North Country Trail. These sites support some mature to old growth forest communities. Good hiking stamina is required. For this trip we will cover 7 miles.

Registered participants will be sent directions to the trailhead along with what to bring for the day. *Location is just over 1.75 hours from the NLDC, 2 hours from Woodruff* Tuesday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
