History and Eco Hike of Partridge Creek and Lake
Join local historian Jim Bokern and a Discovery Center Naturalist on a fascinating hike through history along the old Milwaukee Road railroad grade that created the towns of Star Lake, Boulder Junction and Busswell.
We will explore the Milwaukee Road Railroad, historic logging, Native American travel routes, and the people that lived in this area over a century ago and walk in their footsteps. Habitat diversity is a hallmark of this hike providing numerous naturalist discoveries in a wild setting. This is mostly an off trail, strenuous 4-5 mile hike with two wetland crossings, but will not disappoint!
