Mah Jongg – The Dragon Ladies Mah Jongg is the American version of the Chinese tile game. The Dragon Ladies are meeting at the Koller Library every Wednesday morning at 9am. New players are welcome to join. This is the perfect game to exercise your mind. No sign-up necessary. Just show up! More parking is available at the Community Building.

Christmas Bird Counts Join the Discovery Center Bird Club and Naturalist John Bates in this wonderful citizen science activity focused on monitoring the abundance if our winter resident birds. This is a great activity for beginner and experienced birders alike. Counts will take place in Minocqua (December 14th) and Manitowish Waters (December 16th). Call ahead for details.

Join us with Tom Fitz, Professor of Geology at Northland College, to travel back into time over 25,000 years ago to when glaciers sculpted the land to become what we see today. An evening of delicious nibbles and expanding your knowledge. Cash bar and complimentary appetizers from 5-6pm, program from 6-7pm. Ladies! We are going to be starting a special women’s biking group for WinMan Wednesday this summer. While you might love a good shred with the gentlemen, sometimes you might just want to cruise and then drink rosé around the fire. Never tried mountain biking? We will give you some basic skills to have a fun ride. Don’t have a bike? We have limited bikes available for your use – however please send us a email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to reserve a bike. Come around 6pm for tips and tricks, the ride will leave the parking lot at 6:30pm. Hope to see you there!
