SANTA’S CHRISTMAS FOR THE TOWN – Sponsored by the Manitowish Waters Chamber of Commerce. Starting at 4pm – come enjoy making some Christmas Crafts with the Camp Jorn Staff. Fill your stomach with hot dogs, chili, hot cider & Christmas cookies baked by MW Lioness. Santa and Mrs Claus arrive at 5pm, so you won’t want to miss giving him your Christmas list. Enjoy an outdoor Christmas light display at 6pm – lite by Santa Claus! Held at Manitowish Waters Community Center.   OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING – to follow Santa’s Christmas for the Town – Held at Koller Park starting at 6pm with a Bonfire, Christmas Caroling, Hot dogs, Chili, Cookies and more. Christmas Tree Lighting by Santa at 6:30pm.

MANITOWISH WATERS CHAMBER AFTER 5 Thursday, December 7 – 5PM The Lodge, To The Nines, The Spa, Cabin Coiffure & The Lake House – catered by Smokey’s The Lodge, To The Nines, The Spa, Cabin Coiffure & The Lake House have partnered with the MW Chamber of Commerce to host a Chamber After 5. . The Manitowish Waters Chamber of Commerce sponsors these Chamber After 5 events to promote our great businesses and non-profit organizations in the community. In addition to raffles, delicious food and beverages – there will be opportunities to do some holiday shopping! Complimentary appetizers catered by Smokey’s and beverages will be available starting at 5pm. Be sure to get your raffle ticket to win some great prizes. Proceeds from this Chamber After 5 raffle sales will go to a local non-profit organization. This event is open to the public and we look forward to seeing you at the December Chamber After 5!

  Christmas Bird Counts Join the Discovery Center Bird Club and Naturalist John Bates in this wonderful citizen science activity focused on monitoring the abundance if our winter resident birds. This is a great activity for beginner and experienced birders alike. Counts will take place in Minocqua (December 14th) and Manitowish Waters (December 16th). Call ahead for details.

Marvel in Manitowish Waters
Count down to the New Year in Manitowish Waters with low/no cost, family-fun, indoor/outdoor activities during the holiday week regardless of the weather conditions! Activity locations vary throughout the town based on participating organizations. Past activities included story hour, crafts, horse-drawn wagon rides through the Discovery Center, live music, dances, snowshoeing, ice skating, nature-based activities, and New Year’s Eve celebrations with fireworks.
