The Manitowish Waters Chamber invites you to our Chamber After 5 on April 27.
Complimentary appetizers and a cash bar will be available starting at 5pm.

Proceeds from this Chamber After 5 raffle sales will go to a local non-profit organization.
This event is open to the public and we look forward to seeing you at Little Bohemia Lodge– located right off of Hwy 51 in Manitowish Waters on Thursday, April 27 at 5pm.
The North Lakeland Discovery Center Bird Club will resume a full schedule of activities for 2017 beginning on May 1st with a social hour, a business meeting and a program at 7 PM by Scott Walter PhD, Wildlife Ecologist and currently the Regional Biologist for the Ruffed Grouse Society/ American Woodcock Society. Scott’s presentation entitled “Little Trees Need Hugs Too” will focus on the importance of young forest habitats, detail conservation priorities and describe the life cycles of Ruffed Grouse and American Woodcock. The general public, game bird hunters, and those interested in becoming an NLDC Bird Club member are welcome and encouraged to attend this informative program.
Bird Club members are invited to arrive early starting at 5 PM for an hour of socializing and light refreshments before the business meeting at 6 PM. If you have questions, please contact email@example.com or call the NLDC at 715-543-2085.
A group of artists have come together to offer an free “open studio” to area artists, visitors and whoever loves being creative.
The “studio” will be held at the Manitowish Waters Community Center on the first and third Tuesday each month from 10 – 3 (with exceptions for official town business and other regularly scheduled events). This informal group welcomes all and provides a venue for people to share their creative energy.
Each person should bring projects and supplies for art projects that they are want to work on or are wanting to start. Participants MUST bring floor and table protection (tarp, drop cloth, plastic sheeting – anything that will totally protect the tables and floors). Bring a lunch to stay for the whole day or stay for just a few hours.

Mah Jongg – The Dragon Ladies
Mah Jongg is the American version of the Chinese tile game.
The Dragon Ladies are meeting at the Koller Library every Wednesday morning at 9am.
New players are welcome to join.
This is the perfect game to exercise your mind. No sign-up necessary. Just show up!

“Bee Amazed” is an informative gathering showcasing a local honey bee operation started by Brent McFarland and Frances Whitfield in March of 2016.
Bee Amazed will be held on May 3 at 10:30 am with another session being offered at 1:30 pm.
This free program will be held at 4656 Archery Road in Manitowish Waters.
Learn all about honey bees, their life cycle, their impact, view bee keeping hive components and equipment, see busy bees in action in an established hive
and watch as 33,000 bees and 3 new queens are installed in their new home!
There is no cost but donations are gratefully accepted!

The Manito Art League offers monthly workshops from May through October.
These workshops include programs offered by members and guest artists and cover a wide variety of interests.
Workshops are held the first Wednesday of the month, following the Art League meeting, at the Manitowish Waters Community Center on Hwy 51 at 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Bring a lunch if you want)!
They are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
