Light Pollution Program @ Frank B. Koller Memorial Library
Whether it’s for security or aesthetics, all of us have outdoor lighting around our homes and vacation properties. Often the fixtures we use for those projects don’t provide expected security and usually do little to improve the nighttime aesthetics of our property. Worse, light from these fixtures can shine into the windows of our neighbors robbing them of a good night’s sleep and a view of the night sky. Outdoor lighting expert Don Sanford will show you how to be a good steward of the night sky and help your neighbors get a better night’s sleep. Mr. Sanford has worked as a Theatrical Lighting Designer, has been on Wisconsin Public Television, has been a consultant to UW-Extension for Outdoor Lighting, and has worked with community groups and neighborhood associations.
